Written by On Friday 7th November 2025 we will be hosting our annual Harrodian Sixth form Classics Conference at The Harrodian School.
Dr Andrew Sillett of St Hilda’s, Oxford, will speak on Cicero; Professor Richard Jenkyns of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, will speak on Heroism in Homer and Virgill; Dr Thomas Nelson of St Hilda’s, Oxford, will speak on Greek Theatre, Dr Anne Alwis of the University of Kent will speak on love, sexuality and gender in Greece and Rome and Dr Alexandre Johnston of the Faculty of Classics, Oxford, will speak on Greek religion.
This is for students to attend with their school, accompanied by a teacher only.
To cover the costs we are asking students to pay £25.00. Lunch will be provided and staff places are free.
