Dear STF Member
We have been repeatedly raising the challenges of organising educational visits to Europe with the Department for Education, and are very pleased to say the DfE is taking the issue seriously.
The DfE would like to hear from teachers or school staff members who have organised school trips to European countries. Teachers can get involved by:
- Taking part in a research interview about their experience of organising school trips abroad. To take part please email .
- Completing a survey about their experience organising school trips to European countries. Responses will be anonymous.
This insight will help the DfE understand the impact of Brexit on educational overseas visits, the increase in paperwork and costs.
This will add weight to our request for freedom of movement for school groups (to revert to pre-Brexit status) and a quick decision on Collective Passports and their replacement.
The survey closes Monday 10 March. A good response rate is vital. Please share the survey link and interview request with your school customers and encourage them to take part.
Thank you
Justine
