Add a Post to promote an event, or highlight important news and issues.
Please bear in mind that if the news is somewhat subject-specific, it is probably best posed as an update in the relevant Groups page. Discussion most easily and discreetly can take place on the group page, rather than the homepage.
From the Dashboard menu at the top of the screen choose New Post. Use the buttons available to format your Post, into which you can add images, video and so on.
If you’re promoting an event, which you want to add to the site calendar, be sure to (1) tick the ‘events’ Categories box on the right and give (2) all the important details within the post (date, venue, cost, contact, links, and so on).
Click on Submit for Review to publish it. It’ll go live on the homepage as soon as it’s edited. If you want to publish at a later date, it’s possible to save a draft.
Your new Post will be emailed to all members (unless they have asked not to receive emails about new Posts).
