Classics talk at Bablake School

On Tuesday 10 Jan, Bablake School are delighted to invite you and your students to a talk by Professor Stephen Harrison entitled “Rome and Hollywood”. Professor Harrison is Professor of Latin Literature at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

Professor Harrison will discuss why films about Rome have been so consistently popular in Hollywood, looking at four films in particular: The Fall of the Roman Empire, Spartacus, Life of Brian, and Gladiator.

The talk will begin at 4.30 and should last around an hour. If you would like to attend, please can you let me know via email ()  before Friday 6 Jan.
