Ancient Astronomy Day at the East Oxford Community Classics Centre

On Tuesday 20th January, we are delighted to announce that the East Oxford Community Classics Centre will be running an Ancient Astronomy Day!
The day will involve a series of workshops and lectures run throughout the day by the British Sundial Society on Greek and Roman sundials, as well as Professor Mike Edmunds from the University of Cardiff who will be speaking to groups about the Antikythera Mechanism. As well as these sessions, there will be information and activity stalls during lunch time and after school.
As part of this exciting day event, we will be offering two community events:
Community workshop on Roman sundials
run by the British Sundial Society team
3.30 – 4.30pm
Community lecture on the Antikythera Mechanism
