‘Arguing with the Iliad’ a talk by Dr Helen van Noorden

On Wednesday 25th February at 4:15pm at Highgate School N6 4AY, Dr Helen van Noorden (Girton College, Cambridge) will be speaking on how the ancient Greek tragedians responded to epic. This is the fourth Douglas MacDowell Memorial Lecture, which is an annual event.
Apologies for the short notice, but all are very welcome indeed. The talk may be particularly useful for those studying A-level Greek or Classical Civilisation, but will be accessible to anyone studying Classical subjects.
There will be light refreshments available. The location of the talk is on Southwood Lane, which is approximately 6-7 minutes’ walk from Highgate underground station (Northern Line).
