Hands Up Education’s Summer Conference, Saturday 22 June

We are delighted to again be hosting our annual summer conference for Classics teachers at the Museum of London (London Wall), on Saturday the 22nd of June, from 10am – 4pm.

We’ve got a packed programme with practical and inspiring sessions for teachers of Classics at KS3 and KS4, including:

  • A beginner’s introduction to Suburani
  • Digital support for Suburani
  • Suburani Book 3: a beautiful theme-based introduction to literature
  • Using images in the Latin classroom
  • Teaching ‘The City of Rome’: support and ideas for Eduqas Paper 3B
  • Focus on: Suburani Chapters 11 to 16 – top teaching tips and ideas
  • Teaching Roman imperialism through characters and culture
  • What is Latin metre? An introduction for complete beginners
  • Focus on: verbs – using the Suburani verb trainer to improve student confidence

As well as a thought-provoking plenary session by Dr Ersin Hussain (Swansea University) on Life in the Roman Countryside.

Timing: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
