On Friday 15th November 2024 we will be hosting our annual Harrodian Sixth form Classics Conference at The Harrodian School.
Dr Henriette van der Blom of University of Birmingham, will speak on Cicero; Professor Richard Jenkyns of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, will speak on Women in Homer and Virgill; Dr Alison Pollard, Lecturer in Classical Archaeology and Classics Outreach Lead at the University of Oxford will speak on Augustus and the Julio-Claudians; Dr Mairéad McAuley of University College London will speak on Transgender Antiquity and Professor Edith Hall of the University of Durham will speak on Violence on the Greek stage.
This is for students to attend with their school, accompanied by a teacher only.
To cover the costs we are asking students to pay £25.00. Lunch will be provided and staff places are free. Please email to confirm your booking and make payment by Monday 21st October to confirm your place.
