Sussex Classical Reading Competition 2025

After a hiatus of a few years, the Sussex Classical Reading Competition is back.

This year we are trialling some passages written in English for our Classical Civilisation pupils, and theming much of the event around the Trojan Cycle.

Below are the chosen passages:

We encourage entries from Year 5 upwards. There are three separate categories and opportunities to read Latin, Greek or English.
