Classics For All South & The East London Classics Summer School are delighted to invite all educators and supporters of Classics to attend our first ever joint TeacherEve event at our ELCSS Hackney offices.
Invitees: teachers, ‘Golden Time’ academics, sponsors, supporters, former students, Classics enthusiasts
Our objectives:
- To say thank you to each and every one of you for supporting the ELCSS mission
- Provide an opportunity to meet & mingle with other like-minded educators of the classical world and discuss common issues
- To inform teachers of the work of Classics for All in promoting and developing Classics in schools across the region
- To share best practice and pedagogical value
- Eat, drink & be merry!

6:35pm – 6.55pm: Segment 2 | ‘Thoughts and Strategies on teaching literature for Latin GCSE’ – Mark Wilmore (WHS)
6.55pm – 7.05pm Segment 3 | ‘Increasing uptake at KS4/5’ – Ottilie Cheetham (CfA)
7.05pm – 7.15pm Break
7.15pm – 7.45pm Segment 4 | Q&A Plenary: All Things Classics – Prof. Dan Orrells (KCL)
